Lip tints are everywhere! And it’s a good thing. I despise putting on a lip product only for it to last an hour and end up on my teeth and/or drink glass.
A lip tint or stain will last hours and won’t smudge, smear or transfer.
My favorite lip combo is using a lip tint/stain and then applying a tinted balm or gloss on top. If you missed it, I posted a reel about this $10 lip stain I bought on Amazon- it’s from a Korean beauty brand— Etude House. It looks and FEELS like a chubby crayola marker. Oddly satisyfing? yes.
also NYX Just came out with a lip stain this week! You apply it like a gloss, blot it off and it leaves a stain that lasts hours and hours!
Current fave lip combo.
I’m a self proclaimed claw clip queen— but I’m also a claw clip BREAKER. How many times I have crunched one or pinched a little too hard and cracked them— not sure. The answer is too many times.
This is my favorite claw clip because they claim that it’s almost unbreakable. The brand is Teleties and I’m also a fan of their hair ties. I can report that these are definitely more durable than your average claw.
Also recently obsessed with the FLAT version! These are so much more comfortable on an airplane or somewhere with a head rest.
PS- we do not wear claw clips in cars. For safety reasons this is a no-no. Emergency room docs and nurses know this well. Here is a PG tiktok about why
My aunt fell in love with this skin barrier moisturzier and has become a lifelong fan of the Alpyn Beauty Barrier Cream — here is why. Made from “ghost berries” native people discovered these white, bitter berries and used them for their medicinal healing properties. You probably guessed that the highlight ingredient in Alpyn’s famous cream is the ghost berry. This is rich and soothing. My Aunt has recieved compliments left and right. BUT the real catch — I previously gave her a jar of a moisturizer that cost $250 (she loved it but rolled her eyes when she saw the price.) NEXT she tried the Alpyn barrier cream and expected a similar price point but at $62 it’s much more reasonable but equally luxe.
Alpyn Beauty gave me a secret code to share GLOWOPEDIA15 for 15% off your purchase on their website. shhh! This makes the cream only $52
but honestly I could keep going. and since this is substack… I will.
I like brands that have wonderful, passionate people working behind the scenes. Kendra Kolb Butler is the founder and she truly pours her heart and soul into Alpyn Beauty. All products are “wild crafted” from ethically sourced products in Jackson Hole, Wyoming (aka Kendra’s back yard).
side note- because of Kendra and her education on Ghost Berries/ Snow Berries- I realized that as someone who lives in the Pacific Northwest I have seen white berries all my life and never knew what they were called. All I knew is that we weren’t supposed to eat them. Turns out those berries… are Ghost Berries.
The same berry that is used in one of my favorite moisturizers.
xox thanks for chatting!
